Dr. Chohan acknowledges the challenges encountered along her career path, particularly the competitive landscape in her native India. “We have to be much ahead of the game,” she remarks, referring to the rigorous academic competition prevalent in Indian universities. However, she also notes the shift in dynamics upon moving to Canada, where while competition exists, it is not as daunting as in India. 

Moreover, Dr. Chohan emphasizes the supportive environment in Canada, which is devoid of gender discrimination. “There is no gender discrimination,” she affirms, highlighting the inclusivity she experienced in her professional endeavours. This nurturing environment enabled her to thrive and collaborate seamlessly with colleagues, irrespective of gender.
